I am a true patriot, a lifelong constitutional conservative who puts America first. I believe that all government should be small, efficient, and effective.

The County Commission, in “street level” implementation, is the last line of defense against federal and state intrusion, that’s what makes it so important. The best government is the one closest and most responsive to the people it serves.

I believe that all levels of government should operate in the background and maximize personal freedom and opportunities for prosperity.

I believe that the U.S. Constitution is an inspired document, and therefore the federal government should follow it strictly, and that all other powers are retained by the individual states.

I am a firm believer in the Bill of Rights, am a life member of the NRA, and believe in vigorously defending personal freedoms will lead to a better America for all citizens.

I am a staunch fiscal conservative. I support low taxes. Limited taxation, while necessary, should be treated as sacred. Taxpayers had to work for that money; they put time, blood, sweat, and tears into earning that money, and therefore the use of those funds should be treated with the utmost respect, care, and responsibility.  

I support the free market.

I believe there is a role for local government in societal areas, while simultaneously holding that the government should defer first to private industry and philanthropy to fill many societal needs or pursue public-private partnerships.

I support law enforcement and first responders.
