What you can expect from me if nominated
I Will Work
I’m an aggressive problem solver and a learner. If elected, I promise that I will apply my expertise, energy, and creative problem-solving to the county commission to get things done. I have the relationships and experience to make that happen.
I Will Use My Relationships to Advocate
I will advocate for Washington County at every opportunity, I will use my relationships with coalitions across southern Utah for broad support of our common interests, and I will work tirelessly for the citizens of Dixie.
I Will Lead
With vast experience leading large organizations and as the county executive I will support and keep the best people in the right positions as we serve the citizens efficiently and effectively.
What I Will NOT Do
I similarly pledge that there are things I will NOT do if elected. I will not use the commission as a bully pulpit to express my own political philosophy. As a small-government conservative, I will not be distracted by issues outside the jurisdiction or authority of the commission. I will not use the position as my personal political megaphone and will not use this as a springboard to advance personal interests at the expense of the citizenry. I will not be a career commissioner. I will serve the County while I am valuable, and then allow someone else to step in and serve.
